Maheswari Rani Krishna was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1995 as a member of Lincoln's Inn UK. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1996 & the Singapore Bar in 1998. She has a wide range of legal practice experience spanning nearly 3 decades.

She started practice as a property & conveyancing lawyer in a major firm in Johor Bahru for 2 years, working with various private property developers and major banks.

After her call to the Singapore Bar in 1998, her practice was mainly Civil Litigation, involving various areas of dispute including breach of contracts, breach of trust, personal injury & property damage claims, landlord & tenant disputes & employment disputes. She also acquired experience in Criminal Law practice.

When Maheswari started Ramana Law Corporation in 2013, she focused on Family Law, finding rewarding meaning in her own practice. Maheswari is no stranger in the Family Justice Courts and the Syariah Court. 

The first clients to walk through the doors of Ramana Law Corporation were all legally aided, and Maheswari spared no effort to ensure they received effective representation and just outcomes. In 2019 and 2024, she received the 5-years and 10-years Appreciation Awards respectively from the Legal Aid Bureau. 

Additionally, Maheswari volunteers to represent accused persons facing capital charges under the Legal Assistance Scheme for Capital Offences (LASCO) which is administered by the Registrar of the Supreme Court. She is also a Volunteer lawyer with  Law Society Pro Bono Services' Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS) and Ad Hoc Pro Bono Scheme (AHPBS).

In the last decade, Maheswari has grown from strength to strength as she helped hundreds of clients successfully navigate their way through their legal problems. Till today, many of her clients remain grateful for her assistance and still keep in touch with her.
